iPhone 15 exchange scam on Amazon: Lawyer shares how he was ‘duped’

In July 2024, Supreme Court lawyer Mukul P Unny was scammed out of Rs 38,000 while exchanging his iPhone 13 for an iPhone 15 on Amazon. A delivery executive, supported by a supervisor, tricked Unny into returning the new phone. Despite initially reassuring him, Amazon’s investigation concluded without issuing a refund. Later, Amazon did refund the amount after persistent follow-ups.
