Israel strikes a ‘terror compound’ in West Bank

The Israeli military conducted an airstrike on a mosque in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the death of at least two people. The strike targeted an underground compound allegedly being used by Hamas and Islamic Jihad for organizing an imminent attack. The Palestinian foreign ministry condemned the airstrike as a “dangerous escalation” and accused Israel of using tactics from the Gaza Strip in the West Bank. Violence in the area has increased following recent attacks by Hamas.
