Jairam Ramesh alleges poll code violation in airline’s announcement

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused IndiGo, a private airline, of violating the Model Code of Conduct by making an inflight announcement that hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi before it appealed to passengers to vote in the upcoming state elections. In response, civil aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia shared an Election Commission communication, stating that there is an ongoing collaboration between his ministry and the poll panel to encourage voter participation.
