Kerala landslides: Army builds 190-foot bridge in record time

The Madras Engineer Group, known as the Madras Sappers, constructed a 190-foot Bailey bridge from Chooralmala to Munadkkai in record time despite inclement weather and rising water levels. Major General V T Mathew highlighted the collaboration with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and the bridge’s 24-tonne capacity. Over 500 Army personnel are engaged in the ongoing rescue operations.
