Kid in hospital for finger surgery, operated on tongue instead

In Kozhikode, Kerala, a 4-year-old girl from Cheruvannur underwent surgery on her tongue instead of for polydactyly, due to medical negligence by Dr. Bejohn Johnson without parental consent at IMCH. The police have registered a case under IPC sections 336 and 337 for investigation. Health Minister Veena George has ordered a detailed probe by DME.
