Krishna idol case: HC gives ASI a week to reply to suit seeking Agra mosque survey

The Allahabad High Court granted the Archaeological Survey of India an additional week to respond to a suit seeking a survey of Agra’s Jama Masjid. Plaintiffs allege that remains of idols from Krishna Janmabhoomi are buried under the mosque. The court also set August 12 for the next hearing and addressed the impleadment request by the Shahi Masjid committee.
