Kumher Dalit massacre: 31 years on, 9 get life term for killing 16 Dalits in Raj

Thirty-one years after the Kumher massacre in Rajasthan’s Bharatpur district – in which 16 Dalits were killed and more than 44 seriously injured on June 6, 1992 – a special court for SC/ST cases awarded life imprisonment to nine convicts on Saturday while acquitting 41 others in the case. The convicts sentenced to life in jail include Lakho, Prem Singh, Man Singh, Rajveer, Pritam, Paras Jain, Chetan, Shiv Singh, and Gopal.
