Liquor at Rs 99, 33% political quotas: Andhra Pradesh govt approves new excise policy

The Andhra Pradesh state cabinet has approved a new excise policy effective from October 1, featuring affordable liquor pricing at Rs 99 and reintroducing private retail sales via an online lottery. The cabinet also resolved to provide 33% political reservations for Backward Classes and reserve 10% of retail outlets for toddy tappers.
