​Love for biryani: How Hyderabad ordered food

Biryani topped the charts as the most-ordered dish for the eighth straight year, according to the Swiggy annual report. Every 6th biryani was ordered from Hyderabad and every 5.5 chicken biryanis had one veg biryani. A Hyderabad man ordered 1,633 biryanis this year. India ordered 150 biryanis per minute in 2023. The biryani dish was searched for over 40 lakh times.
