Lucknow to host food fest to promote millets

The Uttar Pradesh government plans to promote the cultivation and consumption of millets by organizing a three-day workshop and food festival. The event, called ‘Shri Anna Mahotsav’, aims to revive millet farming and showcase millet-based recipes. It will feature competitions among hoteliers and Farmers’ Producer Organisations from across 75 districts. The festival will take place from October 27 to October 29 and will highlight the nutritional benefits of millets as an alternative to wheat and rice. The winning recipe will be recognized at the end of the event.
