Maharashtra polls: BJP’s Sneha Patil files nomination papers as independent from Bhiwandi

Senior BJP leader Sneha Patil has filed as an independent candidate against the Shiv Sena candidate in the Bhiwandi rural seat. The seat allocation in Mahayuti favoured Shiv Sena. Patil, formerly a scientific officer and Sarpanch, says issues like women’s empowerment and infrastructure need addressing. She is contesting due to voter insistence.
