‘Mamata Banerjee must be subjected to … ‘: BJP after TMC MP offers to resign over Kolkata rape-murder case

TMC’s Jawhar Sircar has resigned from his Rajya Sabha MP post, citing corruption and mishandling of the Kolkata rape-murder case. The BJP has used this opportunity to demand West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s resignation. Sircar also expressed dissatisfaction with the handling of corruption involving former education minister Partha Chatterjee.
