Man, daughter killed as huts collapse at construction site

A man and his infant daughter were killed, and seven others were injured when makeshift huts near a construction site collapsed in Lucknow. The huts collapsed due to land subsidence caused by the construction of a multi-level parking lot. The bodies of the deceased were pulled out from the debris by rescue teams. An FIR was filed against the apartment owner and contractor for negligence. The injured are being treated at a trauma center. Most of the laborers affected by the incident are from Bihar.
