Marburg virus in circulation: Can it start another pandemic?

In Rwanda, Marburg virus disease has resulted in six fatalities, mainly among healthcare workers. The virus, which causes hemorrhagic fever, spreads through contact with bodily fluids. Authorities urge preventive measures such as maintaining hygiene and avoiding contact with infected individuals. Currently, there is no specific treatment available; supportive care remains essential for managing symptoms.
