MCD election for last seat of standing committee panel begins without AAP councillors

The MCD House proceedings in New Delhi began without AAP councillors, as the Congress party abstained from the election for the last seat of the standing committee. Mayor Shelly Oberoi had requested a postponement to October 5, citing inadequate notice, but Lt Governor VK Saxena overruled and directed the election to proceed on Friday.
