MEA on India-China border disengagement: ‘Indian Army begins verification patrols in Demchok and Depsang’

India and China have begun verification patrolling in Demchok and Depsang areas in eastern Ladakh following an October 21, 2024, agreement to disengage. This breakthrough comes after extensive diplomatic talks between Indian Prime Minister Modi and Chinese President Xi during the 16th BRICS Summit in Kazan, Russia.
