Muda scam: CM Siddaramaiah moves HC against governor’s prosecution sanction

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah filed a petition in the high court challenging Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot’s order permitting his prosecution in the MUDA site allotment scam. The Governor’s decision followed complaints by activists. In protest, Congress leaders initiated state-wide demonstrations. An inquiry commission led by Justice P N Desai was established to investigate the case.
