Mukhtar Ansari found guilty in Gangsters Act case, 6th conviction since 2022

Mukhtar Ansari, a jailed mafia don-turned-politician, has been found guilty in a 2009 Gangsters Act case by a special judge in Ghazipur district. This is his sixth conviction since September 2022. The judge will announce the punishment on Friday. The case was filed against Ansari for the killing of a teacher and an attempted murder. Ansari’s lawyer claims he was acquitted in both cases, but the court mentioned that he was part of a gang according to the FIRs.
