Nasa X-ray telescopes reveal ‘Bones’ of ghostly cosmic hand

By on November 2, 2023 0 20 Views

Nasa’s latest X-ray space telescope has unveiled an eerie image of a cosmic explosion’s remnants, which strikingly resembles a skeletal hand, aptly timed for the Halloween season. This celestial formation, officially termed MSH 15-52, originated from the demise of a colossal star. This explosive event, termed supernova, resulted in the birth of a pulsar, a rapidly spinning and incredibly dense stellar remnant. Pulsars, or rotating neutron stars, are characterized by their potent magnetic fields.
