Navi Mumbai police arrest ‘celebrity’ advocate in rape case

Advocate Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh was arrested for allegedly raping a 29-year-old woman from Airoli. The woman claimed Deshmukh sexually assaulted her and extorted Rs 2.7 crore from a Navi Mumbai Shiv Sena functionary by instructing her to file a false rape case. Deshmukh was remanded to police custody for three days after his arrest.
