India’s chess sensation D Gukesh has become the youngest player to win the FIDE Candidates tournament, and will challenge world champion Ding Liren. With a score of 9/14 points, Gukesh secured first place, joining Viswanathan Anand as the only Indian players to achieve this feat. The chess community congratulated Gukesh’s victory.
