OceanGate used ‘absolutely idiotic’ hand-typed spreadsheet for Titan sub-navigation, says former contractor

A former OceanGate contractor revealed that the Titan submersible used a hand-typed Excel spreadsheet for navigation, which caused delays and raised safety concerns before its implosion during a Titanic expedition. The incident resulted in the deaths of all five individuals aboard, including OceanGate’s CEO Stockton Rush, who used an acoustic positioning system for navigation.
