Odisha govt orders probe into Rama Devi school ragging case

The school and mass education department in Bhubaneswar has asked Rama Devi Women’s Higher Secondary School to investigate an alleged case of ragging involving a first-year student and her three hostel roommates. The student claims that her roommates insulted and harassed her based on her caste and Odia medium school background. The girl has sought justice and an independent inquiry into the matter. The school principal denies any delay in the investigation and explains that the roommates only asked the girl to comb her hair outside the room due to hair fall issues.
