Odisha plans India’s 1st university for the blind

India’s first international university for the blind was set to be established in Odisha, named after Bhima Bhoi, a blind poet and social reformer. The university would include a technology centre of excellence and schools for higher education, accessible residential facilities, and vocational courses.
