Odisha plans to amend Cow Slaughter Act

The Odisha government is set to amend the Orissa Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, 1960, focusing on reducing animal cruelty. At the Monsoon Meet 2024, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi revealed plans for a Small Animal Breeding Policy and new schemes for livestock health care and milk production enhancement in collaboration with NDDB.
