One year of ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme, Karnataka govt yet to reassess free units to newly built homes

One year after the launch of Karnataka’s ‘Gruha Jyothi’ scheme, many new homeowners are still waiting for their promised 200 units of free power. The Energy department has yet to reassess and enhance the eligible units for these consumers, causing frustration among those who moved into newly built homes or initially exceeded consumption limits.
