OpenAI says Iranian hackers used ChatGPT AI chatbot to influence US Presidential elections, here’s how

OpenAI has disclosed the dismantling of a covert influence operation by Iranian hackers using ChatGPT. Named Storm-2035, the campaign aimed to spread disinformation on the US presidential election and other sensitive topics. OpenAI banned accounts involved and reported minimal engagement. Microsoft, Google, and Meta have also reported similar interference by Iranian and Russian hackers.
