Over Rs 5.5 crore worth of unaccounted cash, liquor, and goods seized in Chhattisgarh ahead of state assembly elections

The office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in Chhattisgarh has seized unaccounted cash, liquor, and other goods worth over Rs 5.5 crore between October 9 and 16. These seizures are part of the efforts to ensure a fair and transparent electoral process ahead of the state assembly elections on November 7 and 17. The items seized include Rs 85 lakh in cash, 11,851 litres of liquor, 1,838 kg of narcotics, 63 kg of jewellery, and other goods. The CEO’s office is actively working to crack down on illegal activities and maintain the integrity of the elections.
