Pakistan hockey coach blamed poor umpiring for loss against New Zealand in Olympic qualifier

Shahnaz Sheikh, the head coach of the Pakistan hockey team, attributed their defeat against New Zealand in the FIH Olympic qualifiers, which dashed their hopes of reaching the Paris Games, to what he characterized as “biased” and “subpar” umpiring. Upon returning home, the Olympian, who also serves as the team’s manager, asserted that Pakistan’s 2-3 loss to New Zealand was primarily a result of inadequate officiating.
