Hokato Hotozhe Sema from Nagaland, serving as a Naib Subedar in the Indian army, clinched a bronze medal in men’s shot put at the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Despite losing his leg to a landmine blast, he recorded a career-best throw of 14.65m. This marks Nagaland’s first-ever Paralympic medal.
