Party says PM Modi only echoed public sentiment

The BJP, defiant in response to opposition criticism of PM Modi’s speech in Banswara as “communally divisive,” asserted on Monday that Modi had “called a spade a spade” and echoed the sentiments of the people. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia informed reporters that the opposition’s reaction stemmed from discomfort as Modi’s comments reflected reality.
