PGI to back Hry child ICUs, virtually & offline

The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) has signed an MoU with the health ministry of Haryana to support paediatric ICUs in the state through teleconsultation and offline visits by PGI doctors. The agreement includes training and on-site care for critically ill children in district hospitals. The proposal was rejected by the Punjab government, despite 60% of referral cases coming from the state. PGI doctors will conduct workshops and provide protocols to standardize treatment. The teleconsultation concept was initially introduced during the third wave of Covid-19.
