PM likely to visit Odisha on Sept 17 to launch Subhadra Yojana: Pradhan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Odisha on September 17 to launch the ‘Subhadra Yojana,’ a new initiative by the state BJP government aimed at women’s empowerment, according to union minister Dharmendra Pradhan. The scheme will provide Rs 10,000 annually for five years to over one crore eligible women aged 26-60 from the BPL category. During his visit, Modi will also address the Ratna Bhandar inventory and maintenance issues at Jagannath temple and discuss development plans for Puri.
