Post-Siddique killing, EC directs Maharashtra, Jharkhand to curb crimes aiming netas

The Election Commission has directed Maharashtra and Jharkhand authorities to curb crimes against politicians and the inflow of inducements ahead of elections. Following the murder of NCP MLA Baba Siddique and threats against his son Zeeshan, over Rs 345 crore in potential poll inducements have been seized.
