Priest arrested for raping and extorting Bengaluru techie

A 39-year-old priest, Dayanand, was arrested for allegedly raping a 26-year-old software engineer in Bengaluru. The survivor had visited the Puradamma temple in Arsikere where Dayanand convinced her to conduct a special puja. He later assaulted her twice and extorted Rs 87,000. Three additional related incidents were also reported.
