Pro-Vidarbha statehood stir hits Nagpur, 350 detained

Over 1,000 demonstrators marched to Vidhan Bhavan in Nagpur, trying to breach its premises and hoist the Vidarbha flag as part of a pro-Vidarbha statehood movement. Police detained 350 protesters and removed the flags. Organized by Vidarbha Rajya Andolan Samiti and Jai Vidarbha Party, the protest highlighted regional unemployment issues and statehood aspirations.
