Punjab and Haryana high court orders MEA to consider OCI cards for Hong Kong kids of ex-Pakistan mother

The Punjab and Haryana high court instructed the Ministry of External Affairs to review the OCI card request by two minors whose parents, although former Pakistani and Indian citizens, now hold Hong Kong citizenship. The court highlighted Section 7(A)(3) of the Citizenship Act, allowing the central government discretion in such cases. The decision is to be made within 12 weeks.
