Punjab farmers announces one-day protest against state govt today; road blockade at 4 points

Farmers in Punjab announced an indefinite road blockade starting October 26 to protest slow paddy procurement and other issues. BKU spokesperson Rakesh Tikait questioned government actions on stubble burning, urging clarity on stubble management. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called on the central government for assistance with paddy procurement to facilitate wheat production.
