Rajasthan: Rates of private helicopters rise 2-3 times as campaign gathers pace

The rates for private helicopters in Rajasthan have increased by two to three times due to political parties intensifying their poll campaigns. The hourly rates for single engine choppers have gone up from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakh or more, while double engine choppers are now being hired at Rs 3-4 lakh instead of Rs 2 lakh. The demand for private helicopters is expected to further increase as more candidates are declared and begin booking choppers for their campaigns.
