Reliance may buy Disney’s $10 billion-valued India business

Reliance, the biggest rival to Disney’s India business, is reportedly close to a deal to buy the entire operation for around $10 billion. Disney has been seeking suitable buyers for its digital and TV business in the country, and Reliance is now emerging as the frontrunner. The company’s India business, which includes the Disney+ Hotstar streaming service and Star India, was its largest globally by users last year.
