Return airfares from Mumbai to north states soar for Diwali

Airfares for Diwali travel from Mumbai to northern states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand have reached high levels this year. Ranchi and Raipur are the cities with the highest fares, while other cities such as Prayagraj, Patna, Lucknow, Gaya, Darbhanga, and Agra have fares over Rs 30,000. On the other hand, fares to destinations like Goa, Thiruvananthapuram, Chennai, and Hyderabad are still under Rs 10,000. The limited number of flights to northern destinations and increasing demand are the main reasons for the high fares.
