Routine services hit at Pune’s Sassoon hospital, YCM on Day 1 of doctors’ strike

Routine medical services at Sassoon and Yashwantrao Chavan Memorial hospitals were disrupted as 700 resident doctors joined a nationwide strike demanding better security measures and the implementation of the Doctors’ Protection Act. The strike was in response to the rape and murder of a doctor in Kolkata.
