Russia, Ukraine exchange 206 prisoners in a swap mediated by UAE

Russia and Ukraine carried out a prisoner exchange involving 206 individuals on Saturday, facilitated by the UAE. President Zelenskyy noted that all returning Ukrainians were military members. The Russian defence ministry mentioned their soldiers were captured during an August incursion. This marks the UAE’s eighth mediation effort since early 2024.
