Russian helicopter crashes near volcano, no survivors

A helicopter carrying 22 people crashed in Russia’s Far East with no survivors. It took off near the Vachkazhets volcano, heading to Nikolaevka. Seventeen bodies have been recovered. Adverse weather conditions likely influenced the crash. The helicopter, an Mi-8, is similar to one involved in a fatal incident in Kamchatka in 2021.
