Salaries of sr Jet staff paid by coil maker: ED

The Enforcement Directorate has revealed that senior employees of Jet Airways were paid salaries by a firm dealing in botanical products, mosquito coils, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The firm, S A Sangani & Associates, paid Rs 40.9 crore as salary to Jet Airways’ senior management, despite not being incorporated until June 2018. Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal’s wife and children also held positions within the company. Goyal denies knowledge of the payments. The chargesheet also highlights suspicious payments of Rs 279.5 crore recorded as “other allowances”.
