Serbia win Balkan battle for another water polo gold at Paris Olympics

Serbia’s men’s water polo team clinched their third consecutive Olympic gold, defeating Croatia 13-11 in a tense final at the Paris Olympics. The match was marked by Serbia’s strong defense and strategic play, overpowering Croatia despite their status as reigning world champions. Veteran defender Dusan Mandic credited the victory to team unity and relentless defence. Croatia, though disappointed, showed sportsmanship during the medal ceremony. In the bronze match, the U.S. secured their first water polo medal in 16 years by defeating Hungary in a penalty shootout.
