Several people have died trying to cross the English Channel from France

Several people lost their lives early Sunday during an attempt to cross the English Channel from northern France. Survivors were taken to a sports hall in Ambleteuse. This tragedy occurred nearly two weeks after another incident where a migrant boat ripped apart, causing 13 deaths. Rescue operations are ongoing.
