Shaurya Chakra for 5 CRPF men, 2 of them posthumously

On the eve of Independence Day, five Shaurya Chakras were awarded to CRPF personnel from the 201 CoBRA battalion for their bravery during an encounter with Naxalites in Chhattisgarh. Additionally, 209 police officers received gallantry medals. The commendations include acts of exceptional courage in various states and services, recognizing their selfless contributions to public safety.
