Solvent leak could have triggered fire in AP pharma unit: Official

A fire in a pharmaceutical unit in Atchutapuram, thought to be caused by a solvent leakage, has resulted in 17 fatalities. Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu offered monetary compensation to the victims’ families and visited the injured in Visakhapatnam. Preliminary findings suggest a solvent leakage from a pipe led to the fire.
