Calcutta High Court criticized state police for failing to foresee the vandalism at RG Kar Medical College following protests over a PG student’s rape-murder. The court questioned why prohibitory orders weren’t issued and directed police to submit an event sequence record. The investigation has been handed over to the CBI.
